The purpose of the Forgiven Praise Band is to enhance the service for the congregation by glorifying God through the gift of music. The Forgiven Praise Band has been together since 2006 and plays most Sundays at the 10:45 blended service. During the summer months the band plays about once a month.

Forgiven plays a mix of newer Christian music as well as more traditional songs played with newer arrangements. The band has, from time to time, accompanied other singers and musicians who have expressed interest in performing a particular song.  Occasionally the band also accompanies the choir.

The band welcomes talented singers and musicians who express an interest in auditioning and are able to make the necessary commitment, particularly those who can help meet the musical needs of the band. Song suggestions are always welcome.

Handbell music making is like none other. When one sings or plays other musical instruments, the musician plays entire musical lines. When playing in a handbell choir, a ringer typically plays a rather limited range of bells. A musical line or phrase is then passed from ringer to ringer and back again.

Currently, we have two Handbell Choirs. The Afternoon Bells rehearse on

Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, September through May. The emphasis of this group is ringing for the fellowship and enjoyment that handbell ringing provides. The Afternoon Bells (7 – 8 ringers) typically rings two octaves of bells. While playing in worship services is not a priority of the group, we occasionally ring for the 8:30 am Sunday services.

The Joy Bells rehearse Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This group, usually around ten ringers, plays three or four octaves of bells. The group dates back to 1979 when the handbells were originally purchased. The Joy Bells provide music for both services of worship five or six times a year.

Music speaks to us in ways that words cannot. When inspired music is joined with sacred texts, the results can touch the soul. We can be soothed in times of trial, or raised on wings of eagles. We can rejoice with Alleluias, or be touched by words of redemption. Music offers all of this and so much more. The dedicated members of the Chancel Choir rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm September through May. All singers are welcome. It has always been my belief that rehearsals must be an enjoyable event. My hope is that we all are lifted up by the experience. Twice a year the Chancel invites seasonal members to join us. We come together to form the Festival Choir. The Festival choir rehearses on Sunday afternoons after the 10:45 Am service. This 45 minute rehearsal makes it possible for those unable to attend on Thursday evenings to sing in the choir. This limited commitment (usually five or six weeks) is during for the Lenten and Advent seasons. A Palm Sunday Cantata and a Christmas season concert are sung in addition to our weekly anthems.
